This will be the last week before I start my new job working as a teller at Bank of America. I'm so thankful to Nick for recommending me and really pushing for me to get this job! At times it feels strange to be sitting at home on a Friday night, or a random weeknight at 8 o'clock feeling like I should be at work. For the first time in 3 years I won't be waiting tables! And I'll actually be able to spend evenings at home..this will be weird!
I'm excited for a fresh start..a new job, a different city, different people. Zack and I will be looking around the old Tacoma area for a place to live toward the end of the summer and we are both really looking forward to living somewhere more urban...where we can walk most places and feel in the center of a city that's growing.
Here you'll get a glimpse of the exciting and adventurous ride the Hofstad's are always on! Currently we're in Pohang, South Korea!

Back in the Northwest
I'm so lucky to be able to look at this view every day! It feels wonderful to be back home..yet weird at the same time. It's different, and I'm different too. Zack and I haven't lived in Washington since 2004, when we moved to Montana so it's been a while!
I definitely miss my friends back in Virginia, and I'm looking forward to making new ones here.
I still feel like we're in transition mode. We've been here about a month yet I don't quite feel settled. We are living with my parents and they have been awesome..but I'm ready to move on and find our own place and completely unpack all of our belongings. I think that having not started work also has added to the feeling of not being settled. I'm just in a waiting period right now.
