Christmas is almost here!

This year has flown by..I can't believe it's almost over! Normally I look forward to the Christmas season every year..but for whatever reason I'm just not feeling the "Christmas Spirit" this year. Maybe it's the economic status of the country, or the uncertainty of our future job-wise ...but for whatever reason it just doesn't feel like Christmas.

Since I last wrote, we have moved into my parent's rental house, which has been great. It's the mobile home that I grew up in..so it's kinda weird sometimes thinking of all the memories and events that have taken place here. But we've made it our own..with our new furniture and decorations and all. Petey has been growing and growing..our neighbor had a huge fish tank..way over 30 gallons, that he was throwing away, so he gave it to us for free..so now Petey has tons of room to stretch out.

Zack has recently purchased liability insurance so he can start taking on clients through the Public Defender's Office as a contractor. So hopefully some work will start coming his way. He'll be doing mostly small things like misdemeanors and DUI's ..things like that..to start off with. My job is going well...despite the fact that Bank of America will be laying off up to 36,000 jobs starting next year. Apparently the branch I work at is the 7th busiest branch in all of the United States...and we're short-staffed...so I have nothing to worry about!!
